Delorca x TONNES: Myopia
Delorca and I worked hard on this during lockdown. We wanted to show, in story form, what it felt like for her to work with TONNES; how liberating it was for her to show off the extent of her virtuosity while playing with the 'shadow'. At first, the shadow is scary, but later you learn to tame it, and then make it your own.
Delorca x Turner of Wheels
A video directed by Roxane DeKoninck and edited by me, based on a concept developed by Delorca and I.
Delorca: Weightless
Delorca wrote this one soon after the death of her grandfather, to express her grief in not being able to make it to Australia in person, to support her grandmother at the funeral. It was finished one week before her grandmother's death, who passed away while listening to the song on headphones on her deathbed.
The video component was footage taken by Delorca herself, a reflection of water through the window filmed soon after her grandfather's death. She felt it was his spirit saying goodbye. When I added it to the track, I noticed that the movements of the light seemed to be dancing perfectly to the song's rhythms, and left my edit focused on enhancement effects rather than cut.
Delorca x TONNES: Night, Shortly
The second single from Delorca x TONNES album "The Sacred Hunger of the Void" was made using footage I took while visiting magnificent land structures in SE Queensland.
